Tines

Atlassian is a suite of products that can be used by many teams in your businesses, in particular like software developers and project managers. Here's our guide on how to authenticate Atlassian for use with Tines. 

Log in to <a href="https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens</a>

From the dialog that appears, enter a label (e.g. 'Tines') for your token and click Create.

1. Log in to <a href="https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens</a>
2. Click "Create API token"
 
 
 
3. From the dialog that appears, enter a label (e.g. 'Tines') for your token and click Create.
 
 
 
4. Copy the API key

Next, create an Atlassian credential in Tines

Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Credential"

Click "+ New Credential" and select "Text"

1. Name: Required
2. Description: Optional
3. Value: API Key

1. Domains: Ensure this credential can only be used when making HTTP requests to specific domains.
2. Access: What other teams can also use the API

1. Login to your Tines tenant
2. Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Credential"
3. Click "+ New Credential" and select "Text"
4. Input the values for the credential
 1. Name: Required
 2. Description: Optional
 3. Value: API Key
5. Optional
 1. Domains: Ensure this credential can only be used when making HTTP requests to specific domains.
 2. Access: What other teams can also use the API

Next, create a resource in Tines for your Atlassian domain

Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Resource"

1. Name: Required
2. Description: Optional
3. Builder: Atlassian domain

1. Login to your Tines tenant
2. Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Resource"
 
 
 
3. Click "+ New Resource"
4. Input the values for the credential
 1. Name: Required
 2. Description: Optional
 3. Builder: Atlassian domain 
5. Optional
 1. Access: What other teams can also use the API

Lastly, create a resource in Tines for your Atlassian user

1. Name: Required
2. Description: Optional
3. Builder: Atlassian user name

1. Login to your Tines tenant
2. Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Resource"
 
 
 
3. Click "+ New Resource"
4. Input the values for the credential
 1. Name: Required
 2. Description: Optional
 3. Builder: Atlassian user name 
5. Optional
 1. Access: What other teams can also use the API
