Tanium is a cloud-based endpoint management solution, which assists large enterprises and government organizations with firewall management and threat monitoring. Key features include policy enforcement, status tracking, incident management and reporting.
First, get a Tanium API key
Login to your Tanium account
Click on "Administration" and the click "API Tokens"
Click "New API Token"
Give the token a descriptive note, set an expiration, add a trusted IP address and click "Save"
Click "Yes"
Copy your API Token to a text editor
Lastly, create a Tanium credential in Tines
Login to your Tines tenant
Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Credentials"
Click "+ New Credential" and select "Text"
Input the values for the Tanium credential
Name: Tanium
Description: Optional
Value: Your API Token
Optional
Domains: Ensure this credential can only be used when making HTTP requests to specific domains.
Access: What other teams can also use the API
Click "Save"
